Last year at this time of year my old college roommates and I were planning a trip away full of fun activities....jewelry, eating, book discussions, more eating-- you know, just the girls.

Well now there is a new girl on the block who is much more important than a girls trip.
Last week Tara has this beautiful baby girl, Tess, who could really use all of your prayers. She came into this world weighing just over 1 pound. Crazy Tiny.
(if you look close at the picture you can see Dave's wedding ring on her arm like a bracelet)
If you knew and loved Tara, her mom, like I do you would know that nobody will be a better mother than Tara. It is only fitting that this little angel would want to come to earth in such a hurry. So, my plea for you is that you keep little Tess and Tara and Dave in your prayers. Sometimes in life there are situations where all you can do is pray, and this is one of them.
Thankfully we know that prayers work and that miracles happen. She is going to be one of them.
(and if she is anything like her mother. . . . .which we know she is and will continue to be, she'll have more spunk and life to her than anyone could ever imagine -- not to mention a heart of gold and a serious swing!)

So funny thing...I am just sitting at my computer passing the time away as I "pump" and what do I see...your post about Tessie. Thank you Amber for being so kind and supportive of our little girl. Seriously, this is the HARDEST thing I have ever done in my life, but she is so worth it. I can't wait for you to meet her. And she can definitely use all the prayers. She is doing amazingly well...
