Did NOT get in to the St. George Marathon

Sad, I know! There has got to be a way around this. I have been racking my brain to figure out how to get in. Seriously, it seems like everyone but me got in to the race. 2 of the girls I work with, who I convinced to sign up both got in. Not me. Every name I typed in, but mine showed up as being accepted into the race. (and yes I typed my name like 3 times just to make sure)

Pretty sure that the one year I don't get in and run it will be the year when the shirt looks the coolest. What can I do? Nothing. Really, I need to wait and see if anyone I know and love who is a runner decides that they can't run it. I don't want to wish injury on anyone so I won't go that far, but if you know anyone who got in and isn't sure they want to run it. . . . let me take their place. I will run fast and get them a good time. Promise. I need to start telling everyone I know who is running it that 26.2 miles is a long way to run, and that there is that nasty hill in Veyo, and maybe that it poured rain all last year, and that sometimes it is really hot and you think you will have heat stroke. Yes, I will just convince someone that St. George is a bad idea and I will save them from the misery by taking their spot.

Either that, or I will find another really great race to run. Hawaii?

You are so funny! And if you go to Hawaii to run one I'll go with you and hand you water at pit stops! ;)

I'm so sorry! I guess that solves the whole "team" issue. What a bummer though. Who did you convince to run it from A.C.E.?

My computer has crashed, so I can only use it at night...hence the lack of fun emails during the day. :(

I'm so bummed you didn't get in! I wouldn't be able to keep up with you but it would be fun to see you there! I hope you find a way to get in!

If I were signed up for it, I would gladly give this up for you to do for me. I never want to do a marathon, ever, so if by some psychotic reason I thought I could, I'm sure I would come to my senses at some point and let you do it. too bad I didn't get in huh? :)

Hey Amber, there might be a way for you to still run! If you read my blog you'll see a post I made yesterday on the Tefie Ranch. I found their humanitarian organization on Facebook today and they have a message on their wall that they still have spots available for the marathon. You should check it out!!
