wishes she knew how to fix her stupid furnace

Yes, I said the word stupid and I totally meant it. I have no idea what is wrong with my furnace or why it isn't working properly. First it was my huge windows that were letting all the cold air in. . . and now from my best estimation the furnace is not blowing warm air. The thermostat says it should be 69 degrees. It is not. Plus, my house smells like a glue gun has been left on or something (you know that smell?)

Someone HELP me. I have no idea what to do. Plus, maybe I am going to die of carbon monoxide poisoning during the night because I took the chirping batteries out of the detector, and haven't bought new ones.

Sometimes I hate being a homeowner.

Now I am in really big trouble because I said hate and stupid in the same post.

Bottom line: I need a husband who can help me fix things, because after kneeling on the floor trying to figure it out, my jeans are dirty, two fingernails are broken (they weren't long and they weren't fake, but it just made it more dramatic so I threw it in there) and honestly I am past the close to tears point. . . . yes, past.

There goes the furnace again. . . it doesn't sound right, it doesn't smell right, and it doesn't work right.

Anyone?

Amber, I have brothers, that can fix furnaces and they are single. Call me. Maybe they can hook you up.

Oh Ber. I'm sorry. I if we lived closer, I would send Shawn over ASAP. He can fix anything. AND he's always happy to do it.

Don't even think about marrying a guy without those skills! Even if he does drive a BMW AND a Hummer :)

Amber...Tyler asks, "is the pilot light lit?" I hope you can get that fixed, you'll freeze!! You can come sleep at our house if you want to. It was fun to see you yesterday!

can't help with the fixing ... up until now (yes, we bought a house and are moving on Sat - Yay!) I've called maintenance. But, I can help that if you're super cold (or just kinda cold, really), you are always welcome to come and hang out with me! Then we might actually 'get together' like we've both been meaning to do!

Uh, I could help you build a fire? That's what I do at home when it's cold! Get a wood stove, then you can just build fires and you won't need a husband. Haha. And I like that we never really plan to do anything together, cuz I'm sure I'd sound like all the other people that are like, "Amber, let's get together! Amber, we never get together! haha!"
