I am sure. . . .

I am sure that it is way to soon to be playing Christmas music. . . I love Christmas, but can't we please celebrate Thanksgiving first?

I am sure that my little brother Daniel cannot really be old enough to serve a mission. He goes into the MTC tomorrow. Missionaries used to be so old! What happened? Is it just that I am getting old?

I am sure that being sick won't stop me from being at school tomorrow. My mom thinks I should take another day off, but there is something about this guilt complex that keeps me going back even when I have thrown up all day and night long. I guess that one thing I am sure of is, either way I will be at this school tonight either writing sub plans or getting ready for tomorrow. (yes, this is really a picture of the school I work at)

I am sure that I need this Bosch Mixer. The Bosch kitchen store is having a sale, and I have a $50 gift card that would cover about 1/8 of the cost. Really, I need this mixer -- when I get married someday if I don't have this mixer I am going to see if I can register at the Bosch Kitchen Store .
I am sure that without this expensive mascara my eyes wouldn't be as ravishing as they always are. I am also sure that I am getting ripped off buying such expensive makeup, but I am kind of hooked. I don't think I can every go back to Cover Girl.

I went to Walmart the morning after Halloween and they were playing Christmas music. It literally made me sick to my stomach. I mean come ON! I understand they might need to put up their displays this early. But the music? It's totally trying to manipulate emotion. Not cool.

As for the Bosch mixer. You NEED to buy it now. Because when you get married there will be a million other things that you will NEED to spend your money on and you'll never get it. And besides that, how popular will you be if you're perfecting your bread making skills now? I'll bet you'll have hot guys breaking down your door just to get a slice. It will definitely help you get married. In fact with that motivation in mind, I think you should have your dad buy it for you - because you know, he's such a big fan of boy time and all. Tell him you'll let him use your gift card :)

I second the motion on Christmas being celebrated the day after Halloween! The family I work for actually decorated on Halloween Night. Ughhhhhhh. I kind of skipped the other things you're sure of, because of the pressing need to express my opinion about Thanksgiving! Is no one thankful anymore?

christmas music definitely needs to wait until after thanksgiving for sure (with that said, i did buy a christmas cd yesterday...but it was only b/c all of the circuit city's in our area are going out of business, so everything is on super sale).
i definitely hope you STAYED home from school.....that is actually one regret from my years of teaching--not using my sick days when I had them. the kids will be fine and you will feel a lot better for it.

I am sure.. that I didn't know you had a blog. I heard from Trish you did and I found you! I am just getting into this blog thing, but I quite like it. I have been listening a bit to 106.5 with their Christmas music. Mostly when the kids are fighting in the car. I turn it up really loud and they started singing Jingle Bells and quit fighting. It works great. So I might listen to Christmas music everyday, if it stops the kids from arguing in the car!

I am sure I am going to be so tired of Christmas music by the time Thanksgiving rolls around, but my heart needs an extra dose of charity! I'm not quite sure I can find it in a David Archuleta song...too much teenage angst. But then add using a really awesome and expensive kitchen appliance into the mix while listening to the Christmas music, and life couldn't get better! I think I need to go make some bread.

It was good to hear from you. I'm not teaching anymore, thank goodness. I had a good four years but I definitely like staying home with my baby much better. Plus, first grade is so transient that I got tired of every year or couple of years training someone new.

A. Take your sick days...obviously I'm an advocate of this. Afterall, I took all 180 days of them my fourth year! B. Get the mixer. I made the mistake of not registering for one, and now I am coveting everyone's Kitchen Aid and Bosch Mixers. You won't ever be able to justify that amount of money later. Plus, my mom has had her Bosch for probably 25 years, and it still works great. So, really you're just being smart with your money. Think of it as an investment. C. It was so good seeing your mom. She is so cute. That was so fun!! D. You really should come out here, and heck yes we'll go to Chicago. Michigan Avenue is awesome. It's funny, because I have absolutely no sense of direction, but when we were down there a couple of months ago, I was able to find Nordstrom. I had never been there before and didn't know why I thought it was a certain direction, but it was as if the mother ship was calling me!!
