On Tuesday we went on a somewhat cold field trip to Hee Haw farms. It ended up being a fun outing. The kids were able to play in corn -- they were making "corn angels" go in the corn maze look at lots of fun animals go down a massive hay slide and pick their own pumpkin. By the end of the day I was tired -- thank goodness field trips only come around every few months.

Hi Amber, It's Chris's mom. I was just reading around you blog- I hope that's okay. Some of your comments brought tears to my eyes and I'm not sure whether to thank you or get mad! Just kidding. I appreciate you comments about needing your 1st graders more than they need you and also why Jesus beckoned the children to him. After sweeping and mopping my very messy floor and then having children mess it up, spending the morning with Chris as his tooth was pulled out, another child falling off the chair, another child being whiny and I'm thinking "what else?" I was reminded by your blog what's really important. I remember being frustrated with my school kids and wanting to give up. I remember thinking was I ever going to get married (I was 26-so young right?) Anyway-thanks for a reminder that children are special-no matter what!
